Other Underground Daniel Letts and Andrew Fox are London-based artists who have collaborated on this map since 2002. We work as part of a creative group called ThinkersBlock that helps people to re-imagine the way everyday things should be. The Other Underground map started as an idea five years ago, inspired by a different vision for London's tube system. The tube map is an iconic reference point for London. It influences the way we think about the city; geographically, culturally and economically. Looking at it afresh helps rethink this perspective on London. The map has been flipped through 180 degrees with the axis of rotation is between Embankment and Waterloo tube stations. The new imaginary stations are geographically correct with the choice of names taken from the roads, pubs, parks and histories of South London. Other Underground was featured in the London Evening Standard on 29/12/04 and includes interviews with Daniel Letts and Andrew Fox.
